Premier Gordon Campbell visited the studios in Shaw Tower to announce the inaugural winners of the first annual British Columbia Creative Achievement Awards. The awards recognize outstanding work by emerging B.C. artists in jewelry, glass, clay, metal, fibre and wood. A travelling showcase exhibiting the creative spirit and works of each of the 2005 recipients will tour the province.

Creative Achievement Awards host, Studio 4's Fanny Kiefer, with emerging industrial design winner Jay Grandin and his girlfriend Leah Nelson. An Emily Carr grad, Grandin designed environmentally friendly furniture using low impact materials.
